Defending champions, Warriors edge Lakers in NBA season opener.
The Golden State Warriors 123-109 win over the Los Angeles Lakers marked their first win of the season.
A not so decent start for both sides saw the Warriors take the lead in the third quarter.
Warriors took advantage of their 13 point lead after outscoring the visitors 32-19 in the third quarter.
The Golden State Warriors players received their NBA rings on the same night of the season opener.
Steph Curry dropped 33 points for the defending champions while his splash brother Klay Thompson recorded 19 points.

Warriors ready from start to defend NBA title
The Warriors looked so ready to defend their NBA title after comfortable win at the Chase Center.
The Los Angeles Lakers on the other hand, though with dismal performance showed resilience.
Lakers big three had a total of 77 points in their first game of the new NBA season.

LeBron James led the visitors, recording 31 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists.
Anthony Davis recorded 27 points for the Lakers while Russell Westbrook dropped 19 points.
With trade rumors surrounding the franchise, there is no doubt the Lakers will improve over the course of time
