Top flight European competition, UCL has entered its third week of the group stage matches. Last night marked a total of three matches played for most clubs. The results saw a shift in group standings. We take a look at last night matches and standings.
Bayern vs Viktoria Plzen
The German giants ran riot against the Czech Republic side 5-1 at the Alianz Arena.
Bayern Munich have now won all their three games and are top of group C with 9 points.
Munich had goals from Serge Gnabry,Chuopo Moting,Sadio Mane and a brace from Leroy Sane.
Inter Milan vs Barcelona
Inter Milan secured their second win of the group stage matches with wonderful strike from Hakan Calhanoglu in 47th minute.
Barcelona showed resilience and dominated the game most of the time but they were unlucky after their equalizer was cancelled by VAR as the ball had tripped through Ansu Fati`s hands.
Barcelona who are now likely to drop to Europa league have only won one game and sit third in group C while Inter are now second.
Club Brugge vs Atletico Madrid
Club Brugge are now top of group B in group standings after 2-0 victory over Atletico Madrid.
Goals from Kamal Sowah and Ferran Jutgla as well as a penalty miss by Atletico Madrid`s Griezman earned the Belgiums their 2-0 victory.
Atletico Madrid remain last in group standings with 3 points from three matches.
Liverpool vs Rangers
Trent Alexander Arnold and Mohamed Salah secured a win for Liverpool at the Anfield by free kick and penalty respectively.
Change of formation by Jurgen Klopp saw the reds get their win against Rangers after a run of bad premier league results.
Group A standings has Liverpool sitting second and Rangers last.
Ajax vs Napoli
Serie A league leaders proved it once against by beating Ajax 6 goals to one away. A red card for Ajax in the 73rd minute meant nothing as they were already 6-1 down.
Napoli tops group A after winning every game.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspurs couldn`t get the results they wanted in Germany after 0-0 results away at Franfurt.
Spurs are now second in group D standings behind Sporting Lisbon.
