The foxes have picked only one point from possible 21 in the start of 2022/2023 EPL season. This has placed Leicester’s coach Brendan Rodgers under fire and he looks likely to loose his job. Leicester were beaten 6-2 in a eight goal thriller away to Tottenham in their last game before international break last weekend

Although Rodgers men showed glimpse of form in the first half of the game, they were bent by Tottenham in the second period with Son grabbing a heart trick off the bench. Son’s goals came in between a span of 13min. A week earlier the Foxes had suffered a similar heavy defeat in a seven goal thriller away to Brighton, the game which ended with them losing 5-2.

Reports shows that Leicester’s football director Jon Rudkin and club’s chairman Srivaddhanprabha are in consultation and will render decision during the international break. In his post match interview after 6-2 defeat in the hands of Conte’s men, the gaffer told reporters that he will respect the club whatever the decision is made especially with regards to supporters.

‘I know how football works and I totally understand the frustration of the supporters. I cannot hide from that because it’s my responsibility. Losing the last six games doesn’t make great reading but whatever happens to me here at Leicester, I will always respect this club.’ Rodgers said.

The Irish who was appointed back in 2019 has had his fair share of success as Leicester coach, winning them their first ever FA cup and seeing them reach semi finals of Conference League. Rodgers also saw Leicester finish 5th twice during his tenure.
The former Liverpool and Rangers manager have been tipped to be likely replaced by Thomas Frank of Brentford or Burnley’s Sean Dyche. Thomas although brushed off the rumors linking him with the Foxes and insisted that he is happy at Brentford. ‘It’s a very simple answer. I am here at Brentford, very happy. I am reading very little of these rumours.

I have been told to be a little aware of it, if I get questions, and of course, it is nice to be linked with it because it is something we have done here and done well. That is positive.’ said Frank.
